IXELLES
Ixelles is a vinyl score for six turntables using only source sounds from Belgian cellist Jean Paul Dessy called "Ixelles". It premiered in Ixelles in 03. Jean Paul Dessy and Olive used three mixers and six turntables and played for 41 minutes. Jean Paul Dessy is well known for his intuitive sense of overtones. Olive created mostly drones from the audio tool source recordings Dessy made for him.
"Ixelles" is three copies of two records. six records. 3 x 1 12" and 3 x another 12" vinyl. mix for 35 90 minutes.
